Criminal Justice Advisory Board

The Adams County Criminal Justice Advisory Board (CJAB) meets on the second Thursday of February, April, June, August, October and December at 12:00 pm.  CJAB meetings are held in the Conference Room of the Children and Youth Department at the Adams County Courthouse, 111-117 Baltimore StreetGettysburg, PA.Meetings are open to the public.

    
 Regulation and Oversight
 
   

The Adams County CJAB is overseen by the Adams County Commissioners and the Adams County Judges.  The CJAB is chaired by Judge Michael George and co-chaired by Commissioner Randy Phiel.  Members of the CJAB include, among others, County Commissioners, County Judges, the County Administrator, District Attorney, Public Defender, Magisterial District Judge representative, Police representative, Sheriff, Warden, Children and Youth Director, Adult Probation Chief, Juvenile Probation Chief, Victim’s Witness Director, MIS Director, 911/EMS Director and various community organization representatives.  The CJAB has four standing committees; an Executive committee, a Policy Committee, a Grants Committee, and a Technology Committee.  In addition, the CJAB has many subcommittees and workgroups that dedicate their time to the development and improvement of various criminal justice initiatives in AdamsCounty.
