Oxford Township Recycling
Beginning May 1, 2011 you may drop-off your sorted recyclables at Neiderer Sanitation. The recycle drop-off will be open to all residents of Oxford Township, even if you are not a customer of Neiderer Sanitation. The recycle station will be open from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm Monday thru Thursday; 8:00 am – 3:00 pm Friday; and 8:00 am – 12:00 pm Saturday.

The following items will be accepted and MUST BE SEPERATED as follows:
Cardboard - MUST BE FLATTENED
· Cardboard boxes - any size
· Pizza boxes
· Paperboard boxes (i.e. cereal / jello /tissue boxes)
· Paper towel & toilet paper rolls
· NO wax coated cardboard or paperboard
Newspaper & Inserts
· Please remove plastic bag/liner
Office Paper/Junk Mail/Envelopes
· Any color paper is acceptable
· Must be kept separate from magazines and phone books.
Magazines & Catalogs
· Must be kept separate from phone books and paper/junk mail.
Phone Books
· Must be kept separate from magazines and paper/junk mail.
Plastics & Metal
· Remove caps/lids (place them in your regular trash)
· Rinse thoroughly
· It is ok to leave labels and neck rings on.
· Plastic & Metal may be comingled
· Plastic
o #1 - #7 containers & bottles with necks smaller than bases.

o Aluminum beverage cans
o Steel food and beverage cans
o Empty aerosol cans
An important note about plastics
Just because an item has a recycle symbol and it is numbered does not mean it is an accepted recyclable item. Only items that have a neck with a larger base are acceptable. Examples of items that may be marked with a recycle symbol but ARE NOT acceptable are plastic yogurt containers, plastic cups or plates, plastic microwave trays, party trays, plastic hangers and plastic strawberry containers.
Other unacceptable Items
· Glass of any kind
· Food soiled material
· Styrofoam or packaging material
· Wire coat hangers
· Aluminum Foil
Recycle bins will be marked. Please place items in the correct bins. Items may be transported in plastic ‘grocery bags’ or trash bags but they must be dumped out of the bags into the bins. We will have a receptacle for you to dispose of the empty bags
No trash will be accepted. Anyone dumping household trash in a bin or anywhere on the property will be charged with trespassing and illegal dumping AND you will be reported to the District Magistrate.
